Carson Kressley’s 3 Cup Chocolate Cake


Mix together until light in color:

3 cups Sugar
3 Eggs
3/4 cup canola oil


3 cups Flour
3 tea. Baking Soda
3 tea. Baking Powder
3/4 cups Cocoa
3 Cups Hot Strong Coffee


Bake at 350 degrees. The batter will be very thick before adding the hot coffee. It then gets very watery. When you take the bowl off the mixer, use a whisk to make sure it is well blended.

2 - 10" round pans; approximately 35 minutes
1 - 9" x 13" pan; approximately 35+ minutes
3 1/2 dozen cupcakes; approx. 20 minutes

1-1/2 recipe makes a half sheet cake and a dozen cupcakes.
