Christine Connolly’s Holiday Sweater Cookies
Ingredients
3 cups of flour<br>
1 Tablespoon baking powder<br>
1 teaspoon cinnamon<br>
1 cup sugar<br>
1 cup of softened, room temperature butter<br>
2 teaspoons vanilla<br>
1 egg<br>
Whatever icing and decorations you want to use to decorate your cookies
Directions
Pre heat oven to 350<br><br>
In a bowl, whisk together dry ingredients:<br>
o 3 cups of flour<br>
o 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder<br>
o 1 teaspoon cinnamon<br><br>
Use a hand mixer or standing mixer to mix together:<br>
o 1 cup of sugar<br>
o 1 cup of room temperature butter<br><br>
Once mixed, add:<br>
o 2 teaspoons vanilla<br>
o 1 egg<br><br>
Slowly add the flour mixture into the mixing bowl and continue to blend<br><br>
Once everything is mixed together, divide dough into 2 equal parts<br><br>
Lightly flour your surface and roll dough out <br><br>
Use cookie cutter to make sweater shapes<br><br>
Bake for 10 minutes, or until edges begin to brown<br><br>
Allow cookies to completely cool<br><br>
Decorate with whatever you like: icing, sprinkles, candies, etc.
