Ingredients

One box of store bought cake mix (vanilla or any flavor)
2 eggs
1 cup of water or milk
1/4 cup of oil
Styrofoam cone
aluminum foil or plastic wrap
toothpicks

Optional:
Chocolate melts
sprinkles
Coconut oil

Directions

Mix ingredients together to make batter. Pour batter into mini donut pan. If you do not have pan, make mini donuts by taking a normal muffin tin tray and rolling aluminium foil into cylinders to stand up in the middle of each muffin and pour batter around that! Creates hole in the center to make donut shape!

Bake on 375 for 12 minutes

Allow to cool.

Optional: Then, melt colored chocolate or almond bark of choice. Once donuts cooled, dip donuts in melted chocolate (follow melting instructions on package) or almond bark. Tip: add coconut oil to chocolate to avoid clumping chocolate. Dip chocolate covered donut in sprinkles. Allow to dry. Meanwhile, wrap Styrofoam tree with aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Once donuts completely dry, use toothpicks and start building donut tree tower. Starting from bottom of tree, insert toothpick, then stick donut hole on toothpick. Work way around the foam and try to get donuts close together to avoid seeing foam. Keep going until whole form is covered and you have full donut tree! For more festive flare, add small gummy candies.
