Wendy Bazilian’s Super Simple Spice Blend for Marinades
1 Tablespoon Rosemary Leaves, finely crushed
1 Tablespoon Thyme
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons Turmeric
1 1/2 teaspoons Oregano
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (heat - optional)
Mix all ingredients and store in glass jar with lid in a cool, dry place.
*You can also use 3 Tablespoons Italian Seasoning as a base and add the garlic powder, turmeric, cinnamon, salt and black pepper and optional crushed red pepper as indicated.
1 Tbsp spice blend
1/8 cup olive oil
1/8 cup white wine vinegar or citrus juice (orange, lemon, grapefruit)
Mix together and use as a marinade on meat, poultry, pork or heartier fish.
